2/16/13 LOREN WILLIAMS (49-1) is the STATE CHAMPION in the 152 weight class for 1A--Way TO GO, LOREN!!: The win in the finals match at State made Loren's 200th Career Win. WOW!! This was Loren's Third State Title in the last three years. He got 3rd at State as a Freshman. CHRISTIAN POLLEY (44-10) TAKES 7TH PLACE AT STATE in the 113 weight class for 1A--WAY TO GO, CHRISTIAN!!: Christian (SO.) beat Cole Needham (W Marshall, State Center) (Dec. 8-6) to claim 7th place on Feb. 16.

TRI-CENTER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS PREFERRED MOBILE DEVICES FOR BYOD (Bring Your Own Device): In addition to the equipment already provided on campus, Tri-Center has implemented the concept of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for students in grades 6-12. Given that device usage has become more of a personal issue, the trend to utilize one’s own equipment has been on the rise all across the country in business and education. Therefore, we are offering the following “list” of compatible devices as recommendations for usage at Tri-Center. Click Here to see the list in .pdf format.

TRI-CENTER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS OFFERS ACTIVITY PASSES: Students in grades K-12 can buy a year-long activity pass for $10. This pass will get your student into all home T-C activities, excluding state sponsored events. Family year-long passes can be purchased for $300, and it will get your entire family admitted to all T-C home activities, excluding state sponsored events. Individual year-long passes are available for $100. Individual sport passes will still be sold, and prices are based on the number of home events.

Tri-Center is a member of the Western Iowa Conference. The

40-acre campus is located on Interstate 680 between rolling hills of bean and corn fields in southwest Iowa; 25 miles northeast of Omaha/Council Bluffs, and 100 miles west of Des Moines, Iowa. The district employs over 100 staff members who take part in educating and serving nearly 800 students each year in Pre-K through 12, from the communities of Neola, Minden, Persia, Beebeetown, and surrounding areas.

Tri-Center takes great pride in the academic, activity and athletic programs that are provided for its students. Opportunities and challenges abound at T-C, and these have resulted in a tremendous amount of successes and achievements on the part of the students and staff.

Tri-Center features a fully networked and wireless campus that is equipped with telecommunications, internet, projection systems, document cameras, and satellite capabilities in each classroom. Five (5) terminal services labs (each with 20 stations) have been established in the elementary, MS, and HS to enhance the reading and research process, and 15 wireless mobile PC laptop labs (each filled with laptops), have been incorporated in the elementary, middle, and high schools to assist with student learning, internet usage, and the implementation of the Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math Programs. We have seven wireless iPad2 labs (20 per cart) in the elementary, middle school, and high school. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device - laptop, iPad, Smartphone) has been implemented on campus for grades 6-12.
